If what people posted here is true, then DOE f'cked up again with G&T K placement. A mom who put 166 before 163 got 163 while another mom who ranked same way but got 166 before 99er who got 163. I saw other cases like that from reading the master lists. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Sure, but if it is true (and they all said non-sibs), then DOE made mistakes. If I had to bet, my money is on DOE f'ing up again. They have proved incompetent too many times. Seriously, I know several people who complained of errors DOE couldn't fix and I don't even know that many people. [ Reply | More

that is me - i had 163 as 3rd choice. i picked over 166, although i was very torn about which to put 3rd, as i was hoping to get A or 9, but knew there was a chance i could end up w/ my 3rd choice. so i knew it was a very important decision. i felt like they both had pro's and cons - but i have a close cousin who lives in my building who's son went to 163, and i also know all his friends from his class. all smart, brite, creative, thriving kids. oops - didn't finish post - and i liked the diversity better at 163. and it's closer to my house - and might be moving further uptown in the next year or so, it will be at least that much closer. just shows how important that 3rd slot was. i was really hoping for A or 9, but knew that even w/ a 99, almost all 99's and 100's ( are there any 100's) would put it first, so there was i chance i wouldn't get either.
