any advice, 2 1/2 yr. old dd starting camp tomorrow AM..first time away from mommy outside of babysitters, gm, etc. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

stay a few minutes to make sure she is engaged, and then leave. don't linger, don't let her think you will come and stay if she is crying, otherwise, she will continue to cry. obviously if it just doesn't seem to be working, maybe she is too young, but usually they cry during the actual separation and then are fine a few min after you leave. gl [ Reply | More
