2.3 yr old pitches a MAJOR fit every time I want to dress her or put a diaper on her. Seriously---I feel like to get them on her would require a force that would hurt her. Anyone btdt? Just terrible twos? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

It's a phase. Does she enjoy helping to pick out clothes? Give her a choice of two shirts, two dresses, whatever and get her involved in the process. As for diapers, I assume you are using PullUps? Try getting something with a design she likes. Again, maybe let her choose the package in the store and when you go to put them on her be cheerful and excited that she gets to put on the princess PullUp (or whatever her fav thing is). You really just have to navigate through and try to keep the yelling to a minimum. If you feel you are losing your cool, take a 5 min break and come back and try again. Also, make sure you aren't always in *rush* mode when you are getting her dressed. I think kids pick up on that kind of frantic parental mode and react with more resistance to cooperate.
