you can do forward facing at 1 year and 20 lbs. our dd was barely 20 lbs at 1 yr, so we waited until she was 2 to move her forward (well, 22 mos-i forget wt but she was much bigger). we have a britax marathan that we used for both our kids-very happy with it [ Reply | More
