Not really. A willingness to pay doesn't entitle you to be accepted at the school or your choice, or any school for that matter. It doesn't entitle you to make despicable comments about the dc who attend the schools you don't like, or who "stole you spot" by getting into the school you did like. It doesn't entitle you to jump to conclusions about why certain dc get in, pass judgment on people who apply for FA, and on and on. It's sickening. [ Reply | More

i don't get what the furor is over some mythical sense of "entitlement." Are we that impoverished as a society that when someone expects a decent, appropriate education for their child in the public system, expects to be treated with courtesy, be notified in a timely fashion, and not to have the rules changed every 5 minutes is an outrageous demand that qualifies them as "entitled"? Only people with 30K after taxes to spare should have their children decently educated? [ Reply | More
