how do I know if the school bus will come to pick up my dc everyday? what is within walking distance? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

if you are talking baout doe free bus service, there are "official guidelines." Very generally, you school must support the bus service and have at least 11 elgible children who wish to ride. Distances (of the closest possibel riders) vary by grade (ie K kids can qualify failry close, but 5th graders need to be further away to ride. I know of 1st grader about 10 blocks away who qualify..Also, the bus route cna not be more than 5 miles long. These are my recollections and may be a little off.
