As a lifelong feminist, how is it that I do not feel any disappointment (only relief at this point that the primaries are over) in Clinton's loss.? My sister and a good friend seem almost devastated. Keep saying things like, We were so close! Except for the annoying campaign stuff, I would have been fine with either Obama or Clinton, but I was never feelin' that first woman president thing. probably because you have good sense. Voting for someone because of gender is sexist no matter which side you are on [ Reply | More ]

Maybe. Neither my sister or my friend would have voted for a woman who doesn't share most of her political views. I'd vote for, say, Barbara Jordan (if she were still alive!) in a heartbeat, but Clinton just didn't inspire me that way. (Thanks for answering. I was getting tired of slogging through all the school stuff, so thought I'd try a new subject!) [ Reply | More ]

I apreciate that! I wish people would post to the NYC schools board about that crap. Although I guess I should be grateful that people are here posting about something! I really dislike Clinton and was very heppy that she lost to Obama. I don't agree with him on everything, but at least he is new to the game and I dont think as corrupt. [ Reply | More ]
