Question abt weaning 11mo. Started the weaning gradually, by taking away the afternoon nursing. Now I have started cutting back on the a.m. nap nursing. I continue to give DB a morning and bedtime nursing. My question is this...DB never took a bottle so we are relying on the sippy cup for her liquid intake during the rest of the day. She loves to drink water. In the evening she will work on a couple ounces of formula from the sippy cup. How can I be sure she is getting enough milk/formula each day? DB's stools are fine and she has plenty of wet diapers so I think DB is getting plenty of liquid. I'm just concerned about the amount of milk when I see other babies same age downing 3 to 4 6-8 oz bottles a day. Also am I supposed to replace the nursings with formula or milk or with solid food? not if db wont drink it. Try to give her 'milky' foods oatmeal, yoghurt, cheese, puddings made with milk. My dd would not take anymore than 6oz from 7mo. [ Reply | More ]
