Nope, not yet. I am still "night after night in the dark UBing alone until the DOE assigns me a school of my own..." [ Reply | More ]

I hope it works out well for your child. I think we are likely to be disappointed too--it seems like all of the worst assumptions about the number of 99s were true... [ Reply | More ]

If you ignore the one outlier poster with a 97, it looks like Anderson, Nest and PS 9 were all filled with 99s. Somewhat surprisingly LL looks like it went down to 97. [ Reply | More ]

OP again (this replying problem is a drag). Somehow there seem to be more of us posting about NOT getting Anderson or Nest (which actually makes me feel better). We got PS11, and while it was initially a big shock, I am cool with it now. 2 minute commute versus 45 (for either A or N) was always a big selling point, and I think that the G&Ts are going to be very, very strong going forward with this new placement policy. So good luck to you, wherever your dc gets placed. They are all smarties and will do well wherever they go. [ Reply | More ]

Thanks! The same to you. The peer group will definitely be great. I am in D3 and praying for PS166 (my 3rd choice) at this point. There is a 97 on the master list who says she got it, and if she is telling the truth we should be fine. I just can't believe that I have sat here for over 12 hours today waiting for a letter that did not come. If this keeps up I will need a matchmaker to find me a new husband because he is none too pleased with me today! [ Reply | More ]

lol. you are too funny. mine is glaring at me right now. boys just don't get it. (and I feel like I totally wasted the last 2 months researching, weighing commutes, interviewing strangers and countless hours refreshing of UB). Perhaps this will be the end of that. But I'll miss folks like you. Good Night and Good Luck (dream of George Clooney, who certainly would have been understanding about all this...) [ Reply | More ]

thanks! you too! I know, I just went through twelve months of the Hunter, private and public school process and did all of the leg work and hubby just showed up at a few choice moments said his (pre-scripted) lines and went on his merry way. My ds is a summer boy and I may have to go through this again next year for private again if I don't like our placement. Maybe I should hire George to play the role of dh in the next round of interviews? [ Reply | More ]
