ps11 is very ghetto. 116 is a great school. you don't need to be in g and t to get a good education there. plus, you could always test again next year [ Reply | More ]

I would do 11 G&T. Small classes guaranteed, great arts program, and if it doesn't work out, you can always go back to gen ed [ Reply | More ]

ps11 is FULL of project kids with dirty mouths. I know a woman who lives in the projects near ps11 and she said she would not send her kids there because of the influence of the other kids. [ Reply | More ]

I know several families who are thrilled with 11. OP, try the g&t and see how it goes. If you don't like it, you can always go to first grade at 116 [ Reply | More ]

i thought G&T class won't get project kids, plus there are project kids at 116 as well, not that many though [ Reply | More ]

there is no comparison. if 116 is close to home, how could you turn that down over a transitional school? there may not be project kids in the g&t classes, but they are everywhere else...on the playground, in the lunchroom etc...i'd be careful here [ Reply | More ]

i think this is the most disgusting thing I've ever read on UB. God-forbid your precious child is in the same vicinity as a "project kid". I used to live on the block with PS 11 and the mix of kids and parents outside the school was fantastic. You're a snob. [ Reply | More ]

there used to be a poster how trashed "project kids" and 11. She lived across the street, never had a child in the school and most likely mistook the garment working housing for projects, lol [ Reply | More ]

this is obviously the same person as before with her famous "project kids go their, nuff said" mantra. She's a piece of work. [ Reply | More ]
