Did anyone else hear about the 10 yo boy from SC who "dry drowned" over 2 hours after he went swimming? He got water in his lungs but was fine enough to walk home from the pool with his family. He felt very tired, went to go lay down and his mom found him dead a few hours later. The autopsy showed that he "dry drowned" - [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Yup. 1st time swimming, too. Is that the same kid? The signs of water in the lungs are as follows: extreme tiredness, immediate change in behavior (I believe the child you mentioned soiled himself in the pool?) and difficulty breathing. If anyone EVER shows signs of this while swimming, go to an emergency room ASAP. [ Reply | More ]
