DS got NEST. I thought we had decided to just go to local zoned school (Brooklyn) because of commute, etc. DH had thought we'd decided to send him to NEST if he got in. Pros and cons? All thoughts welcome!!! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

how far (time wise) would the commute be? do either of you work in Manhattan? Any families at NEST use yellow school buses? Do both of you work and do you have younger/older kids? [ Reply | More ]

OP: DH works in Manhattan (times square); I SAH. Older DD in 3rd grade, younger in preschool. This would mean 3 kids, 3 schools. [ Reply | More ]

a few thoguth from OR: well,,dh could do drop-off in mornings...also, you could look into having older dd attend NEST for middle school and up if you like what you see. My friends a the school think the math and sicence is great, btw, but their kids are very young. [ Reply | More ]

I couldn't respond to the post I wanted to, but I will be in almost the same position. DD will be in school in Brooklyn, and son might be at a Citywide (we still haven't heard about his placement). I am so torn! [ Reply | More ]

Go to NEST. If you hate it, then go to zoned school. Won't work the other way around. [ Reply | More ]
