that is young for so many nos so try redirecting "use this toy instead of the cat", "We throw balls outside not in the house". [ Reply | More ]

Never. I get goofy! Sounds like your dc needs more access to activities that are fun for her and not "no-no"s! Can you spend more time just playing w/ her? Get someone else to help? As much as possible, I try to look at things from dc's perspective too, and try to be her partner. Silliness definitely helps around here... good luck! [ Reply | More ]

Under 2 yrs they do not have enough memory developement to remember rules so it is up to you to keep her out of trouble - get rid of all delicate objects & anything that can hurt her, make sure all markers & such are stored out of sight. Give choices you can live with (green shirt or white shirt?) not "what do you want to wear? And give reasons instead of just "No!" I mean, say "that is not a toy" instead of "don't touch" [ Reply | More ]

What are you usually saying no to? If it is safety issues, you have to throughly babyproof and then just never take your eyes off her. [ Reply | More ]
