What's the last fabulous vacation you had with the kids? Where did you go and for how long? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

OP: Using the term "fabulous" loosely. Meaning you actually wanted to leave the hotel room. [ Reply | More ]

not quite sure what you mean by fabulous, but we spent a great few days in San Diego in early spring. Perfect weather, flying kites at the beach, cocktails at Hotel Del's beachfront bar watching sunset, Sea World and Legoland when it wasn't high season and crowded [ Reply | More ]

You can't beat Disney World. We always have so much fun we never want to leave! DH and I love the rides, too, and there's just something about seeing your kids that excited. I always get teary-eyed at least once a day. [ Reply | More ]

Just came back from staying in Sebago Cabins in Harriman State Park. Cheap and cheerful, bring your own bedding and food. The kids LOVED it, and so did we. We saw deer, frogs, raccoons, a two foot turtle (it's on Sebago Lake), swam with fishes around our legs, went to yard sales nearby, barbecued each night, and sat around the campfire. Each cabin has it's own firepit and barbecue. We're going back every year until they outgrow it. In the spring you can book a two night stay, summer a week only (which would be too long anyway).
