If you had a 6 month maternity leave, would you work up to delivery or would you maybe take a week off before your due date to relax? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Do you have to decide right away can you say you will work up to the date but leave earlier if it gets too much. I took time off before I was due but didn't get to relax as dc was early. [ Reply | More

Depends. If I felt healthy, I would work until I went into labor. If I was having difficulties (sciatica, etc), I may take off earlier. Remember, you may not deliver on EDD and could be sitting home longer than intended. [ Reply | More
