i called a babysitter i found on craigslist and asked for her references and she said she likes to meet people before she gives references so she's coming over this morning. that's ok, i see her point i guess, but i'm a little annoyed cleaning up the house this morning at 8 am for a babysitter. ok, no point to all this, just a tiny vent [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

np: It is standard not to give out references until you know you are seriously considered for the job, after the interview. For any job. References are not for fishing expeditions, and besides, you can ask much better questions after you actually met the applicant. [ Reply | More
