Anyone have a live-in nanny who doesn't have a huge home/apt. I might return to work on a TV show but my hours are insane and I'm a single mother. I will often have to leave at 5:30am. I will also be off every other episode (about 8 days or so) unpaid so I won't be able to afford a great room for a live-in. Anyone make it work with a live-in who didn't make big bucks? I have done this for the past 5 yrs it is great when it works, so-so when it doesn't but always managable. Cost about $5,000 for the agency & $140 per week to au pair. Needs to have own bedroom [ Reply | More ]

Does not have to be huge by any means, I know people who have nanny living in a tiny maids' room. But she should have her own bedroom, you can't expect her to sleep on a pullout in the living room on regular basis. [ Reply | More ]
