Our fabulous part time nanny (works for us three days a week)of almost 5 years will be leaving us at the end of July because we are moving out of the area. We told her in January and she has found a new job starting in september already. I am working on a present from my children and then something nice as a gift from us. But my question is how many weeks pay severance should I give her since we let her go? We gave her ample notice and helped her secure a new position. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

It depends on what you can swing. Maybe a month, since her next job doesn't start for two? But only if you can afford it. [ Reply | More ]
