I need to come up with something I can buy at B&N or, better yet, Best Buy for an 80 yo well educated man who is stuck in the house recovering from an operation. Any great ideas? Can spend up to $100. I don't know his interests at all, except that he's a judge. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I'm leaning toward movies. Any ideas for a set of movies that would appeal to an 80 yo man? [ Reply | More ]

maybe the goofy wwII movies from the 50s and 60s? Probably wouldn't do the supper serious ones because they may be too much. Throw in some regular comedies maybe. Stick with things that almost everyone liked, and you will probably be fine. [ Reply | More ]

I just finished Bernstein, The Invisible Wall audiobook. Very touching story from young boy's point of view, written when he was 93 (he wrote another book after that) about growing up in a Christian/Jewish-neighborhood in England. I think he'd like it. [ Reply | More ]
