Any runner moms on? I have been training for a 1/2 marathon for the past 1.5 months and the past two weeks my running schedule has fallen apart. I should get in a 3 mile run before the 5 mile long run tomorrow, but will the running back to back not be good? Should I just skip the 3 miles today and go for the long run tomorrow? Also, how do you get back on track? I got my period, 1 year old is waking up at 5 a.m. and not taking naps, 3 year old has no more preschool and is a mess. I am going to bed at 9 p.m. and still bone tired in the morning. TIA [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

IMHO, if you've been training, even if nothing for past two weeks, running 3 miles today should not disrupt running 5 tomorrow. when I am "in shape", running 3 miles is not a big deal; and if you've been training, it shouldn't be for you either. [ Reply | More ]

my thought is do an "easy" run today for time - go for 35-50 mins. then do your 5 mile tomorrow. just don't push it today so your legs are fresh tomorrow. enjoy! [ Reply | More ]
