I posted earlier but - Our story is the kind I always scoffed at - he was literally the boy next door, we were best friends until girls had cooties and we drifted apart. I always held on to the idea of spending my life with him far in the back of my head which I think is the reason I never had any serious relationships until he and I finally got together during my senior year of college. We met at Home Depot. I was trying to reach a showerhead that was about two feet too high for my 4'11" frame and this 6'0" tall monster of a man comes over and hands it to me and offers to carry my basket to the register for me. I met dh while on vacation in Mexico. I met him on the first night but didn't pay attn to him. I went to a different club/lounge every night in this resort town and he was at that same club/lounge. On day 4 of my trip and after seeing him nightly, I finally gave up and sat down and spoke to him. He was so nice and funny. He was also very honest (he was with a diff. girl every day I saw him). I liked his honesty and when he asked for my number (we were both from NYC) I said sure but only as friends. I just got out of a 4yr relationship 6mo prior and wasn't looking for another.
