Sorry for the long post: My grandmother died 2 months ago and left 4 grandchildren (me, my brother & 2 cousins). In the original will she left her estate to my brother and I. She told me she was going to do this "because that is what your mother wanted"-(my mother, who died 4 years ago). After she died we ended up splitting the estate four ways. Now I feel like I am resenting this decision (my husband is mad at me for agreeing to this as well), even though I know that this was the right thing to do. What would you have done? Probably the same as you unless there was some real reason that the cousins had been left off the will. Any money that you get from inheritance is a bonus and your dh shouldn't be mad about this imo. [ Reply | More
