Why does D3 do a lottery for extra spots, while in Brooklyn you have to do a Placement Exception Request for zoned schools with spots if you are out of zone or district? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Question? Where do you get a placement exception request form? Is there one on the DOE site? Or do I go to the district office and do you know when they are due? [ Reply | More ]

Good question. My impression is that D3 has been doing this lottery for many years, and that it has become institutionalized, for lack of a better word. However I am not a D3 parent, so I could be wrong about this. [ Reply | More ]
