A friend and I are visiting NYC from LA. We are looking for the best UWS playground for a not quite 2 year old and a not quite 3 year old. Would be great if there were some shade but most important is a really fun playground for the kids. Not sure whether Riverside Park is better or Central Park. Any suggestions would be very appreciated! TIA. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Hippo park. CP is a must see though. There are some nice areas near the zoo (although that is on the UES, you can walk there). [ Reply | More ]

We have been to Hecksher in CP a lot because it is near where we are staying. Looking to venture out a bit. Glad to hear about Hippo. [ Reply | More ]

FYI- The OR is probably talking about the Hippo Park at 91st and Riverside....not to be confused with the one in CP. [ Reply | More ]
