What time are your two going to bed? I have younger kids and getting them to bed is a juggling act but we have pretty strict routines and that seems to help. [ Reply | More ]

^^ I might tighten up that routine by eliminating the play. Less chace of wearing her out, or getting her worked up and reluctant to stop playing. [ Reply | More ]

Can you skip the playtime as it might be tiring them too much and then read the story while they are in bed? [ Reply | More ]

I have 2.5yo and 8mo so I'm sure things are different for you but here's what we do... 7.30 dinner and clearing up (kids play) then I run the bath and put toddler in. While he is playing in the water I dip baby in and out of the bath and dress him ready for bed. Then leave the baby on toddlers bedroom floor to play while getting toddler dry and ready for bed. Then sit and read a story to both. Put toddler into bed and then take baby to our room for final feed and sleep. [ Reply | More ]
