24 mo ds is in a serious hitting stage. Hits me, DH, kids at daycare. We do time-outs and talk to him about it, but can anyone share how long it took to pass / other strategies? I am getting discouraged [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I had one of those and while i don't remember how long it took, I do know that by the time he started Pre-K at three it was over and at the school interview at 2 + he smacked another kid who wanted to take a dinosaur he was playing with. Don't get too discouraged... [ Reply | More

Interesting, I've tried this, but his favorite toy is his transitional object, which feels wrong to take away and saying no cartoons today prob. doesn't register with him later in the day... [ Reply | More
