Just got the cc bill and there seem to be many charges that I can not account for: restaurants, Barneys, and a bar... I can account for dh's where abouts for the days of the charges. Do you think someone used our cc number? Both cards are accounted for too. What should I do? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

first talk to DH. See if he had some weird charges for some reason. Then call the CC company and dipute any that neither of you made and let them know someone may be using your card. They will tell you what dto do [ Reply | More

in that case, maybe you should go ahead and call. But until you know for sure which ones are bogus, you won't be able to dispute them. You could have the company freeze the account though. Might be a shocker for DH when he tries to buy something though. How long till you can talk to him? [ Reply | More

OP: He's on his way to Taiwan, so it will be awhile (maybe 15 more hours?!?). I don't think I should freeze it because dh only has two cards with him. The charges were in the middle of last month, strange. [ Reply | More

np: I would call the company and ask them to give you the dates that the charges were actually made, not when they showed up on your account. That may make it more clear for you. [ Reply | More

if you call the cc company they will automatically put a hold on the card and send you new ones. You won't have a choice in the matter [ Reply | More

you would be surprised... if she makes it sound like a possiblity that someone else is using the card they will cancel it because they are the ones that have to pay. [ Reply | More

happened to my dh with his coorporate card and the hotel where it was used caught the people. Yesterday was visiting a friend in the hospital when she received a call from her cc company about odd charges... We had our card and they have theirs, the number was just "lifted"... [ Reply | More
