trying again - runner moms? I signed up for a 10K in July. I can run 3 miles pretty comfortably but want to up my mileage. Any tips? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

do 3 or 4 3-mile runs per week, then once a week do a run that is a little bit longer. Don't run more than 5 days per week or you may get hurt. If you add a half mile to each weekly run, you should be fine. And if you have to walk a little, it is ok. I am sure you will be able to do the 10k. [ Reply | More ]

OP thanks to OR (It's not letting me respond to you directly) I seem to be stuck right around 3 miles. Any more than that and I feel exhausted. Not sure what's going on. I will try though. I don't mind walking a little bit of the race, but really want to try to run most of it. Thanks for the help [ Reply | More ]
