Am I overreacting? DS getting over a very bad cold with fever, still coughing a bit. Yesterday dh asked nanny not to take him to playground all day, to take it easy and take him out for an hour. After an hour and a half, she's still out there, claims dh told her hour and half and brings ds home only because I called her. Today, before she leaves to go out, I say, please not all day at the park, bring him home 11:30, and at 12:10 I call her and she's still at park. This morning she told me that ds was getting molar (he's 2) and that's why he was sick. I'm home today with exactly what ds had -- miserable congestion with low grade fever, so I know that's not what's going on and I tell her that. So annoyed that she completely disregards my requests. ITA with you, OP. She just wants to go to the park to bullshit with her friends and ignore your DB. I think you should talk with her about expectations -- when you tell her to be home from the park at a certain time, you expect her to do so. And I would also consider looking for a new nanny.
