my dd, two this month, seems to whine a bit, regardless of what's going on. even when playing has a bit of a whiny vocal quality. anything i can do, or not to worry? dh and i don't whine, and she is in a very nurturing environment and we are around a lot. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

kids whine. a lot. not matter what kind of nurturing environment they come from. it takes years to stamp it out of them - when she's really whiny, keep repeating, "you're whining, I don't listen to whines. Ask me properly". I realize this may be a bit much to ask of a 2yo, but she'll still whine when she's 3, 4 and 5. At 2, I would model the correct voice and have her repeat after you. [ Reply | More ]
