Need your opionion please - We have a part time sitter for our 14 m.o. DC and we are taking him on a one week vacation. Do we pay the sitter in our absence? She'd be missing 3 visits with us ($360). Thanks - confused in LA [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

this is something you should probably talk about before it comes up (Like when you hire someone) I used to nanny and the agreement was that if I took a day off, I did not get paid. If they didn't need me, I did get paid. (And I was PT 3.5 days a week)If you didn't discuss, it might be nice to pay at least part of what she would be mnaking.
