We have a great sitter that we pay $10/hr; she works occasionally and normally 3-4 hours at a time. We're thinking of asking her to watch dd for 3 days so we can just get away for the weekend. Do you think it's a good idea and what would you charge her? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I would try just doing a weekend overnight first and see how it goes. We normally pay for 8 hrs at the hourly rate plus $100 for overnight - so in your case $180 for a Saturday to Sunday to start. For fri-sunday, I would pay $540. [ Reply | More
