any medical moms on? my nephew came down with MRSA a week or two ago -- had a boil -- anyhow, he's being treated now. is it ok for my kids to swim with him on father's day? i'm guessing no but my DH says I'm being a dramatic germaphobe. help, please. TIA. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I would think no- a friend's daughter had MRSA (also a boil) and they could bathe her alone only. But pool water has chlorine in it, I guess? But still, I would say that your nephew should stay out of the pool. But I'm not a medical mom, just rather paranoid [ Reply | More ]

i'm paranoid, too, but i've read that chlorine doesn't always kill the MRSA -- depends on how much is in the pool. anyhow, it makes me nervous b/c i've had staph and it made me so sick and weak. [ Reply | More ]
