Do you believe McCain is pro-choice? Does it matter to you? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I think he doesn't really care either way, but will say whatever will get him elected. [ Reply | More ]

I think he will actually be more moderate than the republican hard line. he was much more of a centrist in 2000. [ Reply | More ]

I don't think there is generally a clear correlation. I have just heard him talk about pro-choice in the context of his adopted children, that's why I said personally conflicted. [ Reply | More ]

NP: He has said things on both sides. He was against Roberts as Chief Justice because of Roberts' stance on Roe. He has said Roe is the law of the land and ought to remain that way. Etc. He has also said things on the RtL side but that is represented above. [ Reply | More ]

He's not on the Judiciary Committee. Half the Democrats in the Senate voted to confirm Roberts. And he was voted out of the Judiciary Committee 13-5, so he must have had some Dem.s on board there. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty wrong with John McCain, but allowing the President to pick the Chief Justice after the Judiciary Committee has approved the nominee -- well that is not something I'd hold against him.
