just found out that I am pregnant and due in February. I have a 2 year old. Prior to her, I had a miscarriage. it turns out that I had a luteal phase defect and needed clomid and progesterone. I got pregnant right away with my daughter. I am now pregnant again, but very nervous. I went to the doctor yesterday and she didn't feel that it was necessary to check my Beta's or confirm the pregnancy. she said the pregnancy test was accurate. she checked progesterone and that is it. do you think i am just overreacting? did she not do enough regarding early pregnancy tests? I have symptoms, i had implantation bleeding, cramping, sore boobs, dizziness, etc.... everything that i had with my daughter. Just concerned bc i already had a bad experience. i know that it's out of my hands... i just had a missed miscarriage and it was a horrible experience. it's just scary. i know there is nothing that i can do. i guess if she saw that the numbers kept going up - it would be reassuring. make sense? [ Reply | More

Unfortunately, there's really not a lot they can do. My RE told me he wasn't really convinced that progesterone can save a pregnancy. It's a good sign that you have symptoms. I know it's hard (I had luteal phase defect and had 4 chemical pregnancies and 1 m/c before I saw my RE). GL. [ Reply | More
