I am inhouse counsel and my co is facing imminent merger/aquisition. Thinking about approaching outside counsel as a possible job prospect--one partner that has worked a lot with our company but not with me directly. Any advice on how to approach for a job? TIA [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

How about asking if she knows who is the hiring partner? [ Reply | More ]

I can find out that info by looking at their website. Don't want to come off as airhead [ Reply | More ]

OR: Sorry, UB technical difficulties make it impossible for me to reply to your reply. Of course you can find out who that person is but you are trying to start a conversation and this will kick it off. Believe me, she will not think you are an air head - people just loved to be asked questions. [ Reply | More ]
