Anyone ever have betas that were low and slow to double and go on to have a healthy baby? I am 7 weeks and my numbers are around 12,000 and taking forever to double. RE thinks pregnancy is doomed. He is probably right which would make this my 3rd loss in a year. Ugh! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

i thought that was okay for 7wks? i'm really sorry. is there anything they can do? my friend had this problem and just delivered a baby (not the same pg's though). one just finally made it. [ Reply | More

OP: I know this is not ectopic b.c an early ultrasound at 5w3d showed it was in the right place. My second loss was an ectopic so RE was on the lookout for that. As for my numbers RE says that they should be hire and not taking so long to increase. 4 days ago they were at 7,400. Tomorrow is sonogram #2 so I guess I will know then what is going on. At a certain point, they stop doubling. I assume first ultrasound was too soon for h/b? Good luck tomorrow. [ Reply | More

Yes, it was too soon for a h/b but at that point in time everything was measuring okay. Nurse at RE's office told me to expect the worst but I am sort of holding out for a miracle. Thanks. [ Reply | More

for what it's worth, i had an early mc last year. then had serious spotting with this one, then passed a clot with serious bleeding. now 13 weeks and all seems to be fine. i thought for sure it was over and so far so good. hang in there. [ Reply | More

Thanks for the words of encouragement. When I m/c about a year ago - my numbers looked great. I was blown away when sonogram revealed that everything had stopped developing 2 weeks earlier so I guess you never know. [ Reply | More
