Google it. There are different clotting/antibody issues that are easily treatable. If you're not already seeing an RE, make an appointment with one now. I saw Spandorfer and Cornell. [ Reply | More ]

OP - ok so I think I had one this weekend. Was just 6.5 wks had cramping and a light/moderate period. I guess I was expecting it to be more? Sounds stupid but now I am kind of in shock that I lost the baby without more pain. My HCG levels were low, under 800 so my dr said it was probably a miscarriage and gave me another HCG test. I still haven't got the results back, but he said it was unlikely that I didn't miscarry.... [ Reply | More ]

Sorry for your loss. Regular OBs are sort of clueless at this stuff. See an RE if you can. [ Reply | More ]

OP - I was just seeing a family dr, an RE is probably a good idea as I am 38. I have two dcs but this is my first mc and I don't think your ever prepared for it. Is it normal to have bad headaches and feel a bit sick afterwards? [ Reply | More ]

Yes--it's an emotional, stressful thing. An RE can do better testing/monitoring even very early in a pregnancy. [ Reply | More ]

Well it takes my family Dr. 2 days just to get HCG levels back and that is enough to drive anyone crazy. I think I just need to know 100% that its done. Dr is very laid back and said just to wait a month or so and see if I have period and if I do then he figures I don't need a D&C. Is this a good idea or should I have an ultrasound done to make sure I don't need a D&C now? We want to try again as soon as possible and I don't want to have any more problems than necessary [ Reply | More ]

OP - sorry having some trouble trying to respond. If I didn't see anything over the weekend that was out of ordinary for a normal period, should I expect more to come? Sorry if this sounds stupid, but everything stopped and I am just having very minimal spotting and just want to know what to expect... [ Reply | More ]

that is what has left me a little confused. May be TMI but only had a couple of pads a day for two days. Nothing really at night and had stopped after a few days, but don't really feel pregnant anymore... [ Reply | More ]

at 6.5 wks they typically won't do a d&c. They will want to wait. Usually do a d&c after 8 wks but you can opt out. I had a d&c for the one at 13 wks but not at 5.5 wks. Sometimes it can take some time, in which case it turns into a missed m/c. You can look it up but it is where it comes out many days/weeks after the actual loss. [ Reply | More ]

if they do the d&c at least you can get a path report. Maybe you should ask about getting a path report done so you know what went wrong to cause the m/ [ Reply | More ]

There is nothing like the devestation of m/c especially if you have already had a dc because then, as soon as you realize you are pg you are imagining the baby as real. So sorry. [ Reply | More ]

Since Dr.s don't generally see/hear the heartbeat till 7 weeks it is a bit moot to do an U/S now. It may have just been a blighted ovum (pg started but no embreyo developed). On the other hand it may be a sign of something more serious. I had 2 dcs w/no problems then had 3 m/cs in a row. Turns out my eggs (at 38) were just too old. With donor eggs & progesterone supp I was able to have 2 more. [ Reply | More ]
