The airline post reminded me of a situation where someone asked me to change. I was flying home coach from Hawaii for work. It was a red eye and i needed to work the next day. It was a plane that had 2 seats, 5 seats and another 2 seats. I was in the window of the two seat. A woman took my seat (she was in the 5 seater) and her daughter was in the aisle next too me. I simply suggested she switch with the person next to her seat and give that person the window, that she and her child could sit in the middle together and the other person would be happy to give up there seat for an aisle. She threw a fit and yelled at me in front of the whole plane...I can't believe you won't let me sit with my six year old--so I sat in the middle and they got the two seats--I thought it was incredibly selfish of her. yeah it does. I get it. The woman with the daughter didn't want to sit in the middle seats & so pretended that the poster was being obstinate. [ Reply | More ]

you're right, that woman sounds like she was taking advantage of the situation. You had every right to refuse. [ Reply | More ]
