stopped work (freelance TV) when I had dd who is now 2 1/2. interviewed for a show today that has car chases, fights--translation, 80 hour work weeks, no exaggeration. I desperately want to leave dh and this job would give me the financial independence to do so, however, dh works less hours than me, more flexible schedule. He could be there for her more than me. I don't want to lose my daughter. I want to work but I haven't had a lot of success finding another line of work. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

You will get joint custody anyway so you can share the time with her - you pick up more on the w'ends. [ Reply | More ]

I really don't want to be a weekends only mom and if she lives with him, I wouldn't want to break up that routine and take her when the show ends in nine months. I'm afraid he could simply take her away from me just because he has the ability to earn money without working ridiculous hours. [ Reply | More ]

np: no judge is going to take her away because your job requires more hours. [ Reply | More ]

I work in film business. Don't do it. It is terrible on families, especially moms. Find another job. I'm sorry. [ Reply | More ]
