What can be done about major hemmorhoids? DD was born 5 years ago, so I'm guessing these fun things aren't going away on their own. I'm way too embarrassed to ask my GP who I only see once every couple of years. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

my OB said that she would give me a referral to the "colo-rectal guys." Needless to say, I have not yet requested this referral. Mine aren't major though. [ Reply | More ]

you can get them surgically removed, but you will run a greater risk of incontinence when you are older (or so I was told by the colorectal surgeon I saw about mine). He gave me some cream and some cleanser to help the problem, and while I still have them, they don't bother me much of the time, so i'm giving it more time (last db is 18mos). [ Reply | More ]
