I wonder if I should hope that the DOE lost our rankings. Getting a 98 child into NEST in a second round is probably more likely than in the first round. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Children who moved to the city after testing will be able to test this summer. They will then be grouped with apps lost for all remaining seats in G&T. [ Reply | More ]

There *is* no second round. Families who move to NYC after testing period ends are having the kids tested this summer and then they get placed. Don't hold your breath. Your child will be placed based on what you ranked. [ Reply | More ]

the seats that the DOE is going to hand out to kids tested during the summer are partially seats that were declined by others. [ Reply | More ]

But calling it a second round is very misleading [ Reply | More ]

huh? But it is a second round. Everybody who returned the rankings get their assignments. Some folks will decline the spot they are given. Those in addition to any vacant seats are put back into the pot and are used for another round of assignments with is exclusively for the people who were not part of round one. [ Reply | More ]

Sorry for remedial requests, but will there be wait lists for #1 choices? There has to be some movement, no? [ Reply | More ]

No waitlists. I assume, though, that in the end if there are too many seats left the DOE might call some of us asking if we were interested in a spot at xyz. Who knows. [ Reply | More ]
