A new Inside Schools post: found out my previous information was incorrect. As of today the letters have not even gone out yet. Apparently they messed up the JHS g & t notification so badly, they haven't even sorted that out yet. The same people are doing the K g & t, so we will be next, after they fix JHS. I just looked at it, and I think that poster is out of the loop. She posted misinformation last week, and so in my view, she doesn't have any credibility. I will believe it when Helen from Insideschools posts it. Until then, I'm going with the DOE's own website. [ Reply | More

I am sorry but I doubt that the pre-K and MS placements have anything to do with the G&T K placements. Each of these are full time jobs and I really can't imagine that they just queue them up. They are dealt with in parallel. [ Reply | More

They used outside sources for data collection, data entry and sorting. I am sure the DOE used the lowest bidder for G&T, Pre-K and MS. [ Reply | More

I don't think you are totally off - but for the sake of my sanity I hope you are. I called the DOE re G&T placements for 4 & 5 grade last week and the person I spoke to said that they were just getting out from under the middle school and pre-k placements then G&T would be next. Said they wouldn't touch the 4th and 5th grade placements until after that - like July... I also am waiting on a K G&T placement. [ Reply | More
