grrr. man i am dating is terrible about including me in his plans. when he invites me to things (not dinner, but events) he tells me about them and kind of waits to see if i say i want to go. its similar to the seinfeld where elaine doesn't know if she is being invited somewhere or not by her date. anyway, he just told me about some weekend away fundraiser he is going to and spent 10 mins telling me about who is entertaining, which celebs are involved etc. at the end of it i said "oh, that sounds really fun", as i couldn't believe he wouldn't invite me to it. he said it would be ok. now i am pissed. i invite him to everything. how do i handle this? its not even that i want to go so badly, just want the decency of an invite [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I think you should just explain that you enjoy spending time with him, are happy with the amount of time you spend with him (if this is true) but you aren't sure when you are invited to things or when you aren't. I am sure he doesn't realize any of this. [ Reply | More

yes, in gerneral, men a clueless about the nuances of communication. I would just put it out there that you don't know when you are invited to events/trips with him. Hopefully he'll get it and be better in the future. [ Reply | More
