I stopped pumping at work when my ds was 12mo and continued to nurse him in the morning and night for another 2 months. I had to actively decide to totally stop - although I could soon make it through the day without pumping, I was fully able to continue to nurse him morning and night. It's absolutely a supply/demand thing, but your body can adjust to meet this new schedule. The key for me was doing everything slowly... GL! [ Reply | More ]

With #1, I tried that at 7 mos and my supply dried up within 2 weeks. With #2, I was able to stop pumping entirely at 10 mos, when the baby was eating lots of solids. I'm still nursing a.m. and p.m.; db is now 16 mos. [ Reply | More ]

Of course it will drop. It's a supply and demand system. [ Reply | More ]
