I think the spinal is to test for other things. they can confirm lyme disease from a blood test. [ Reply | More ]

I had Lyme Disease. Meningitis and Hepatitis were secondary issues caused by the Lyme. I had IV antibiotics for a week and a month of oral antibiotics. [ Reply | More ]

It is a common secondary infection. It's not the viral hepatitis that you think of when you hear "hepatitis". Hepatitis can be caused by bacteria, medications, etc. [ Reply | More ]

np: My hepatitis was caused by the really strong IV antibiotics they had me on. Lyme disease can be brutal if not caught early (I also had Bell's Palsy, arrhythmia, and congestive heart failure along with the typical symptoms). [ Reply | More ]
