need advice...we have the "neighborhood pool." All the kids on the street are really great-but they always want to swim! I don't necessarily want to be lifeguard every afternoon, nor do I want to be hesitant to swim in my own pool because they are all hanging around the fence. Anyone BTDT? What were your rules? If you don't mind them using your pool occasionally set a day and time that they can come when you can supervise. If they ask just say 'sure you can swim come on ...at...' If they fuss just keep repeating it until they get the point [ Reply | More ]

If kid/s want to come over, tell them that their moms HAVE to come as well- you're not going to be outside all the time [ Reply | More ]

This is good advice but remember if anything happens to any of the kids whether their parents are their or not it will be your responsibility. I would supervise personally at all times with kids in the pool. [ Reply | More ]

I know. I don't feel like I want to be responsible for that many kids--only problem is two of the kids have two working parents and a nanny who never leaves the house--then they would never get to swim--oh well.... [ Reply | More ]
