I was my boss's "friend" before he hired me last year (although we had stopped hanging out together when I moved away and only corresponded by email for years.) Well, long story short, he's a horrible boss. He doesn't hold meetings when he should so my colleague and I aren't informed about things we should be informed about and he also will take the good projects for himself and leave me the bad ones--even when the good projects fall under my original list of responsibilities/area of focus. Is he better or worse than other bosses? I've had such horrible bosses in the past that I can't tell. He did give me a good review and mostly doesn't micromanage me but it's really hard to pin down sometimes. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]
