9mo db has hit a crying phase - cries when he doesn't get what he wants, like when I won't let him do/have something. Does this improve on its own or is there something I should be doing to discourage this or help him get over it (besides avoiding "no" situations)? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

this comes and goes from that age all the way until age 3 or beyond! just try to be gentle and nonchalant (i.e. don't lose your cool or jump to say "no!"), redirecting his attention from whatever it is he can't do. [ Reply | More ]
