My bil died 3 years ago leaving behind a young widow (2 and 5 years old). Now, my sil is engaged to someone else and is moving to another state. Well, our inlaws have become totally obsessed with her and the kids. They call her all the time, want to know every move she is making, literally, and wants to know when they can see the kids, so on and so on. That's understandable however, in this obsession with her and those grandkids they have seem to have forgotten about their other grandkids and other dils and sils. Everytime we are around them all they talk about is her and the kids, etc. What do I do? It's very sad but it's also not nice to forget about everyone else that's around. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

it sounds like your in laws are focusing on what they don't have/don't have control over instead of what they do have. This totally sucks. Hopefully with time things will fade. [ Reply | More ]
